2021
This was a year for the books! What started as a one-off comment (we could double our space and cut our expenses in half if we moved to upstate NY, lol) became reality when we bought a house over FaceTime, packed up the fam, and drove from San Diego to Syracuse. Uncertainty in the face of Covid meant we completed the drive in five days - looking back on the move, we wish we had allowed ourselves shorter driving days with more rest each night.
Two things are definitely true at the same time: we miss San Diego every day, and really love our new-to-us century home in our warm, welcoming community.
